The German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche said: “Without music, life would be a mistake”. Apparently, a lot of people around the world agree. For example: 160 million people who own an iPod or other less “glamorous” music players. The European people love the music so much that, maybe,  they are willing to sacrifice their hearing capacity to enjoy the music every day with these portable players. One out of 10 of these people will suffer irreversible hearing loss associated with the use of these gadgets, what could end up affecting the health of about 10 million people.

Apple revamps its laptop notebooks without entering into the price war

After days of rumors and speculations, some Mac fans thought yesterday that they would be able to buy a laptop for about $800. But the expectations were not met. Yesterday, Apple unveiled its new line of notebooks, made of aluminum (instead of plastic), and was confirmed that this brand will continue being more expensive than PCs that are sold with Windows pre-installed: the cheapest new MacBook will cost $1,299.

Nokia challenges iPhone with a touchscreen cell phone

They needed time and conviction, but now the Finnish maker Nokia has also its touchscreen cell phone. This autumn, the major provider of cell phones in the world will launch the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, which is its first touch-screen mobile phone, with up to 16 GB capacity for music or video and an innovative interface that shows emails, SMS messages and networking tools on the same screen.
