Before you go shaking your fist in the air and wondering why in the blue blazes Apple just didn’t give the iPad a physical keyboard to start off with, have a read through what the new Addonit Writer brings to the table. Hint: it’s more than just keys.
First off, it’s not just a keyboard. Yes it does Performa all the functions of a Bluetooth keyboard admirably but it’s also a hard-shell case for your iDevice. However, if that’s all Addonit had to offer, they’d be left in the dark—there’s already a ton of keyboard/case peripherals out there trying to turn your iPad into a laptop instead of a semi-functional tablet device.
The cool part about this keyboard/case contraption is the magnet that allows you to position your iPad pretty much anywhere you want it in relation to the keyboard. This is an extremely helpful feature when trying to overcome lens glare.
There’s also an energy (and frustration) saving sleep feature for the keyboard that keeps your battery from draining while you’re not using the keys.
So how much would you pay for this slick little thing? How about $120? If you had an iPad and wanted a keyboard you would. This offers all the functionality of other devices with some cool and considerate upgrades. And you’re in luck! Addonit will start shipping these before Christmas!
