Cell Phones / Batteries – Big Options for Your Smart Phones
13 May 2011 - By Omar Mariño

That last post about Nintendo 3DS batteries got me interested in other battery-extending tech out there so I dug a little deeper. Apparently Ye Olde iPhone and the HTC Thunderbolt are rather notorious for having less-than-stellar battery lives. While the Thunderbolt’s issues might partially be due to the incredible amount of power its high speed LTE mode consumes, the iPhone has been plagued by weak battery life since it went 3G. Protective Cases to Keep Your Tech Cozy
7 May 2011 - By Omar Mariño

Portable technology is great but it’s expensive and generally a pain in the behind to try and repair or replace. So that’s why when you buy some flashy new do-dad you should always invest at least a little money in something designed to keep that tech functioning and in one piece. 23 Oct 2010 - By Omar Mariño

When you hear the brand name Bose attached to anything, you know you’re going to have to pay more for it.  Most of the time, that extra cost is justified due to the quality of the sound that the device (whatever it may be) produces.  Is the new Bose Bluetooth headset an exception to that rule? iPad Coming to Verizon
14 Oct 2010 - By Omar Mariño

While it’s not exactly new technology I’m talking about today, it is noteworthy news that might very well change the way you do business.  You see, the largest complaint against mobile Apple products is their exclusivity to the AT&T wireless network (usually with a nasty little contract involved.)  It was announced a while back that next year the iPhone will be coming to Verizon, giving users an alternative to the hated AT&T with their favorite iDevice.  Now, it has been announced that the iPad will actually make the switch before the iPhone. Motorola Cell Phone: Flipout Surprisingly Doesn’t
3 Jun 2010 - By Omar Mariño

So the Motorola Flipout falls into the not-so-smart phone category but somehow manages to keep its cool.  The sleek, futuristic design sets it apart from the run-of-the-mill touch screens and the square footprint gives it a quirky edge that geeks and girls are just going to love.  It’s only 2.8” square–and all of that’s screen—so you won’t have anything trouble toting it around.  To top it off, the Flipout flips out with the two clamshells swiveling on a single pivot point at the bottom.  Quirky design aside, the phone is worth the money, but only just. Dell’s new 5 inch tablet-like device contains the guts of a smart phone but has the power of an iPad.  So what do you call something like that?  That depends on how you’re going to use it, I would think.  While there are angry debaters on both sides of aisle on this one, it’s clear that the streak is designed to be a direct competitor to Apple’s iPad.  Which device will come out on top? 5 May 2010 - By Omar Mariño

Developers at Twitter have been busy snapping up third party apps and making them “official” (See the whole Tweetie controversy here) but they’ve also been sneaking around behind our backs and helping Google build a customized app for Android phones and other mobile devices.  From the looks of it, this may just be the coolest Twitter app ever.
