I’m a huge fan of Enelopp Rechargables. For your money, they truly are the best rechargables on the market. That’s why I was so excited when Sanyo released the Eneloop Stick and Mobile Booster. These power packs pack enough punch to give that extra oomph just when you need it most, because, let’s face it, nobody likes to be without juice when they need it.
The Mobile Booster is a reachable lithium-ion battery with two USB ports built right in. Combine that with the handy microUSB adapter and you’ve got a portable power source for just about any modern mobile device from smart phones right on through to laptops. The Power Booster will give you 1 Amp for 2 hours on a single charge but can also charge two devices ate once (though the amperage drops to 500mA for 4 hours.) And once the Booster is drained, you can recharge via the AC adapter, USB power cable, or even through your PC’s USB port—talk about versatility!
The stick is really just a pair of Eneloop AA batteries in a fancy case but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Instead of waiting for the stick to recharge, just drop in a pair of AAs and you’re ready to go again. And if you’ve got a portable Nintendo device (such as the DS, DS Lite, or DSi) this little stick has been officially blessed by the gaming gurus to charge your portable console without a hitch.
