A new Epson compact photo printer has been launched to the market. It also works as a digital photo frame. The PictureMate Show PM 300 can print out full-color 4×6-inch prints and it has a 7-inch visualization display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels.

As for the photo frame, there are 12 different formats of images displaying, and the users can use a remote control, so they can manage and change the pictures shown on the display. On the other hand, the printer features the highest resolution in this device type (that is to say: 5760 x 1440 pixels) and can produce a print in just 37 seconds.

The PictureMate has an internal 270MB memory to store pictures, which can be printed out or displayed directly on the screen. Memory cards can be used too, since the printer comes with a media card reader. Besides, the PictureMate has USB ports (which allow users to connect USB Flash drives) and a PictBridge port that enables the printer to print out images directly from compatible digital cameras (which is a great feature that allows us to save time if we have a camera with PictBridge port and need to print out some photos). In addition, an optional Bluetooth adapter allows direct printing from other devices like PDAs, smartphones, laptops, and any Bluetooth-enabled gadget that can store pictures in an adequate format.

Also, the features list of this printer include a decent amount of photo editing options that, for example, allow users to remove red eye and adjust some parameters before printing out (like color levels, contrast levels, etc).
