iPhone would be able to download movies and TV series

Apple is trying to preserve some surprises for the introduction of its new software: the new iPhone (and iPod) OS 3.0. But it is impossible. Internet media (especially some blogs) always end up publishing those “surprises” before the launch. The last revealed features are related to the capability to download movies and TV series directly from the Apple players.

Next month, the Apple iPhone OS 3.0 will be introduced officially but, honestly, there are few things (next to nothing) to introduce…

Anyway, at least Apple will confirm all the features that have been revealed in the last days: new supports, new apps and design novelties in the new iPhone models. And now we know about the direct download of movies and TV programs from the iPhone and iPod Touch.

With the new operating system, movies and TV programs will be downloaded directly from the devices without using a computer.

Although there is no official confirmation yet, the revelation is supported by some screenshots published by somebody who is only known as a “geeky friend” and re-published by Kwame Jones on a blog. The “geeky friend” affirmed that he saw some ads in the new version of TwitterFon (a Twitter app for iPhone) where he was able to observe the promotion for new features called “‘iTunes Movies’, “iTunes TV” and “iTunes Movie Rentals”.
