Microsoft Surface expands its availability to 12 EMEA countries

Microsoft Surface is the first surface computer marketed by Microsoft that is available at a commercial level. It is a revolutionary surface computing platform that responds to natural hand gestures and to the placement of real-world objects on a display. Microsoft Surface has a large, 360-degree, horizontal user interface that allows to create an unique gathering place where several users will be able to collaborate and simultaneously interact with information, content and physical objects as communicating with each other in a familiar way, just like in the real world. In addition, Microsoft Surface allows companies to attract and convert new customers, or use this platform to cross-sell products / services,  increase the loyalty customers and improve the operational effectiveness.

“Since our initial launch of Microsoft Surface, we’ve received an overwhelming response from companies worldwide that are looking for innovative ways to engage with their customers and developers who want to create applications that were not possible with other technologies,” said Panos Panay, Microsoft Surface general manager. “We’re excited to be entering into these new markets with partners that have already begun exploring many possibilities of Microsoft Surface locally”.

It could be said Microsoft Surface is a leader of the evolution of the Natural User Interface  (NUI), which is a new and intuitive way of interacting with technology that uses touch and hand gestures. Thanks to Microsoft Surface, people will have a new way to interact with digital content, while the corporate users will be able to increase their operational efficiencies and have new ways to connect with their customers.

Content and applications provide the real context of the Microsoft Surface experience and the developers are a very important part of Microsoft’s strategy to market this surface computer because they provide the different applications and services, so Microsoft Surface become useful for individuals and businesses. In the businesses case, the robust “developer partner ecosystem” of Microsoft will provide businesses with a wide variety of new Microsoft Surface applications and the complete specific solutions that best fit their necessities.
