Hopefully, the buyers of the new Samsung Galaxy S won’t have to worry much about choosing a specific provider at the moment when they buy this new Android smartphone. They’ll be able to get it in a lot of places. AT&T, T-mobile, Sprint, and Verizon will be selling it. What a great decision!
It is expected this gadget makes its debut in every important city of the United States. Among its features we find a 4-inch AMOLED touch-screen display, a Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor at 1.0GHz, a 5.0-Megapixel webcam with flash LED and ability to record 720p videos, 2GB of internal storage, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi.
Verizon’s version will be called Samsung Fascinate and will come with a 16GB microSD card, 3G functionality, and the usual applications of the company such as VZ Navigator and V Cast Music.
In T-mobile’s case, the smartphone will be known as Samsung Vibrant and will include a 2GB microSD card as well as the Avatar movie and The Sims 3 game. T-mobile will begin to sell the Samsung Vibrant on July 21th; it will cost $199 with a two-year contract.

In AT&T’s case, the new smartphone will be called Samsung Captivate. It will include 16GB of storage and several programs such as AT&T Navigator, AT&T Family Map, and AT&T Address Book.
Regarding Sprint, the Galaxy S will include several unexpected things. In this company, the smartphone is called Epic 4G and will be able to connect itself to the WiMax network of the company in order to reach greater download speeds (of course, provided the customers are situated in an area where the service is available). Other features of this smartphone include a slide-out QWERTY keyboard (behind the display surface), a six-axis sensor for mobile games, and a camera on its front side for video conferences. It is a very complete Android phone! This gadget will be the second Sprint WiMAX phone and an excellent alternative to the HTC Evo 4G, especially if you don’t want to use a virtual keyboard.
A common factor among all the versions of the Samsung Galaxy S is the Android 2.1 Operating System – it is expected that the 2.2 version of this operating system (which is known as “Froyo”) becomes available for the public very soon.
