This week, Nintendo have set a date for the launch of its DSi system in United States. This system is an improved version of its famous and popular Nintendo DS. According to Nintendo, it will be released for sale on April 5 and will be available in white or black with a price of $170.

“Nintendo DSi builds on Nintendo’s commitment to bringing fun and creative entertainment to everyone, and will allow consumers to personalize and share their very own experiences”, said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. This statement was published online.
According to the features that Nintendo have revealed, the new console will have two interactive cameras. One of them is located on the external body and the other one is located next to the user when the console is open. Those cameras allow users to have different perspectives of the games. Besides that, users can alter pictures and engage with other players by using one of the cameras.
However, these cameras will also play a very important role in the games playable on the DSi. Nintendo hopes the developers can take advantage of this resource in conjunction with the touch screen and the built-in microphone. In this way, they will be able to create new experiences.
