While SanDisk isn’t really a top-tier name brand when it comes to anything much more than mobile storage, the company has enjoyed reasonable success with portable media players.  They’re looking to take that one step further with the new Sansa Fuze+ devices.  The best part is that you can get your hands on these for cheap!

Sporting a 2.4 inch LCD the device comes in three storage capacities.  The 4GB model comes in red, white, purple, and black while the 8GB and 16GB models (for some inexplicable reason) only come in black.  But what else do you get for your money?

Well, you get a micro SDHC card slot for memory expansion and compatibility with slotRadio.  That’s it.  Seriously.

However, while they’re artent many bells and whistles on these new devices, they’re designed as bare-bones alternatives to overpriced media players that deliver too much to truly be called media players.  That’s why SanDisk is hoping these puppies will take off.  To help, the company has lowered the starting price so low that if Apple were to do the same the execs would probably hyperventilate.

You can pick up your favorite model for $79, $89, and $119 dollars respectively.
