Flash drives are fairly cheap these days unless you opt for one with some crazy bells and whistles like built-in self destruct and full MILSPEC specifications.  However, USB 3.0 has changed that, and not for the better.  Since the introduction of this new, faster technology, we’ve seen the price of those ubiquitous little drives jump significantly.  However, one retailer refuses to bend to peer pressure.  In fact, Super Talent may have just set the bar for USB 3.0 Flash Drive prices and you’ll be happy to note that it’s very low.

The company is offering their Express Duo line of USB 3.0 Flash Drives in 8Gb and 16GB configurations with a price tag of $14 and $29 respectively.  That’s cheaper than some USB 2.0 drives on the market right now.  And the drives are robust and full-featured.  Not only do you get full USB 3.0 speed, but you get USB 2.0 reverse compatibility so you’re free to buy now and upgrade later.

And not that style is the deciding factor in any tech purchase (though it probably is more often that it should be) these puppies look pretty darned sweet to boot.  That slick gun metal grey and faux-lighter design would look great on any executive’s desk.
