Cool Weird Gadgets – This Week in Extravagant Tech…
30 Apr 2011 - By Omar Mariño
Technology makes our world better and our lives easier but sometimes developers take this to a whole other level creating devices that are awesome but bordering on useless. Either they’re flashy, superfluous, or too cool for school and just don’t find a place in the mainstream market like the iPhone or netbooks did. This time around, I’ve wrangled three cool devices that fall into this category. They’re just a little bit over the top but not so out there that some enterprising owner can’t put them to good use. Let’s start with a smart phone that’s a little too rugged for its own good. Read more >>
New Iogear’s Keyboard: Wireless Peripheral Boats Bluetooth Connectivity
13 Jan 2011 - By Omar Mariño
Wireless keyboards are becoming so commonplace that when companies announce new models, there really isn’t anything newsworthy on which to report. However, Iogear’s new Bluetooth keyboard is a bit different from the rest of the pack. The GKM611B features a built-in touchpad (a tiny one that’s nearly too small to be of any use anyway) but that won’t get many people excited. Instead, it’s the extensive Bluetooth connectivity that’s going to make this board sell. Read more >>
iPad Keyboard Case: ClamCase Now Available to Turn You iPad Into a Laptop
21 Dec 2010 - By Omar Mariño
ClamCase was one of the first hardshell cases announced for Apple’s iPad tablet (perhaps you recall my first impressions). The Grippity 1 Threatens to Make Your Current Keyboard Feel Obsolete
20 Nov 2010 - By Omar Mariño
Grippity is more than just a keyboard. It’s a space-age, hand-held, wireless keyboard that looks like something Tonty Stark (you know, Iron Man’s alter ego) would have whipped up had he been bored on a Tuesday night. It’s sleek, thin, and lightweight—did I mention that the “keys” are on the backside of the board? Read more >>

15 Nov 2010 - By Omar Mariño
If you’re like me, you’re probably easily frustrated when trying to use a standard TV remote to access/browse Netflix. It’s ridiculously time consuming and not to mention a bit antiquated. However, unless you want to drop a large amount of money on a fancy QWERTY remote or even more money on an ungainly near-full-sized keyboard, you really don’t have an option . . . until now. Thanks to the folks at IOGEAR, your TV navigation just got a whole lot easier. Read more >>
