23 Jul 2011 - By Omar Mariño
It’s been a while since we did a roundup of good peripheral devices for your smartphone, game consoles, laptops, and other assorted tech gadgets, so let’s get right to it. This time around, we’ll be looking at a mouse that looks more like modern art, a gaming peripheral that’s absolutely ridiculous (and not aimed at the Wii), and some really cool speakers.

Logitech – A new Mouse: M325 – Sniper Precise for Under $50

So a mouse is a mouse is a mouse, right? Sort of. We know that they all do the same thing but the varying degrees of success you might have controlling your input with bargain basement mouses is probably a little frustrating. If you want a mouse that’s easy to use (no programmable macros here) and gets the job done the way you want it to without breaking the bank you should check out Logitech’s newest—the M325. Microsoft’s Comfort Mouse 6000
20 Mar 2011 - By Omar Mariño
We’ve seen some mice designed for the Twitter crew and we’ve seen some mice designed for gamers but how often is it that a hardware company (this time it’s Microsoft) comes out with a mouse that’s just plain old productive? The Comfort Mouse 6000 sounds like something you might see on a late night infomercial but it’s really just a solid little peripheral. Read more >>

19 Mar 2011 - By Omar Mariño
Who would have thought that the mouse would eventually become just another mode of self expression? Formerly seen as the utilitarian workhorse of the digital era, companies are now manufacturing mouses to look better than they perform. One such is the new Express mouse from Microsoft. Read more >>
Apple Computer / Keyboard / Keys – LMP’s New Bluetooth Keypad
1 Dec 2010 - By Omar Mariño
So you’ve got your fancy new Apple Keyboard and that’s so thin you’re not even sure if there’s electronics in there or if it’s just fairy magic that makes it work. Notice anything missing? How about a number pad? I don’t really know what Apple was thinking when they released this thing into the wild without one but that’s another story all together. There have been several third party attempts at creating an add-on that brings back the functionality that gamers and productivity hounds can’t live without but none have cut the mustard. LMP is hoping that their device will take off and make them some money and from the looks of it they may just be onto something. Read more >>
Thanko’s New Laptop Portable Table Converts Into a Bag
9 Nov 2010 - By Omar Mariño
Laptops are great, except when there’s no flat surface on which to use them. Let’s face it, sitting with a full-sized PC resting on your knees isn’t exactly comfortable and could actually harm your computer—overheating is dangerous folks. If you’re looking for a mobile solution that doesn’t require you to carry a full-sized desk in your backpack, the new laptop convertible bag from Thanko may just fit the bill. Read more >>
Razer’s New Naga MMO Mouse Perfect for Warcraft
13 Oct 2010 - By Omar Mariño
When most people think of computer mice, two, three, or maybe even four buttons are enough. Gamers are a strange group tough and they just5 can’t seem to get enough buttons. That’s why Razer has created this new Naga mouse. It’s designed for use with MMOs—because those spell and combat combinations are awful hard to use effectively when you’re keyboard is all you have. Ctrl+S Controller Offers Ergonomics and Promises of Laughter
23 Sep 2010 - By Omar Mariño
Console gaming controllers haven’t evolved all that much since the original Xbox hit the market years ago. They follow a pretty standard design (two triggers, two bumpers, 4-8 face buttons) and most don’t really push any boundaries. Those that do either are huge successes like the Dual Shock controller for the PSII, or flop big time like pretty much every peripheral made for the Wii. UNIQ is toying with a concept it calls the Ctrl+S which could easily fall on either side of that success/failure fence but promises to make a big splash either way. Read more >>
