Nokiaphones: N8 Provides Competition for Apple’s iPhone

Apple may have some competition in the super-smart phone market when Nokia releases the N8 in the fall of 2010.  The device is packing some serious hardware and sports a handful of additions that iPhone 3GS owners have been whining about (I mean wanting) since the “Jesus phone” turned out to be a little less than they had expected.

Running on the Symbian^3 operating system, the Nokia N8 features a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash for capturing those high definition images.  The cool part is that camera also record high definition video.  With optics like that, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that Nokia’s newest monster will seriously put the hurt on portable HD recorders like the Flip MinoHd.  The device even sports a nifty HDMI output so there’s no need for a third-party device and lengthy conversion process, just plug the phone into your HD TV and play.
