Laptops are great, except when there’s no flat surface on which to use them. Let’s face it, sitting with a full-sized PC resting on your knees isn’t exactly comfortable and could actually harm your computer—overheating is dangerous folks. If you’re looking for a mobile solution that doesn’t require you to carry a full-sized desk in your backpack, the new laptop convertible bag from Thanko may just fit the bill.
This laptop bag will hold a full-sized device but the coolest feature is that it easily converts into a free-standing table (well, more like a stand) that you can use anywhere you need to be productive.

The telescoping legs hold the device upright but unfortunately they’re too short to make stand-up computing feasible. Still, this thing will keep your legs from falling asleep and your CPU from frying itself to death.
Weight-wise, it’s just about 6 pounds, which may not sound like that much until you’re lugging it around all day. However, if you pack a full-sized laptop instead of a ultraportable netbook or tablet, the extra weight may be worth it.
With a price tag of $75, this tablet/bag hybrid fits comfortably in within the budgets of even the stingiest of executives.
If you want one, you’re going to have to decipher the Thanko website or get one used on Amazon or Ebay.
